The Wordsley School

Business & Enterprise and Music College

Our aim is for this school to be the best,  we want a school dedicated to success where all children leave aged 16 having identified a talent, a skill, an intelligence and the confidence to become whatever they aspire to be.

As a father of three children, I am aware of the anxiety which exists when making a decision about our children’s education.  I personally believe that there is no room for compromise as far as our children’s futures are concerned. At The Wordsley School, your child will be valued, stimulated, challenged and will be encouraged to foster a real and lasting love of learning. However, let’s not forget that school should also be enjoyable and fun.

As parents, we want and deserve the very best for our children.  This can be achieved through school and parents working in partnership to support the intellectual, emotional and physical growth of our youngsters.

As a school we have achieved so much.  As Ofsted judged: “This is a very inclusive school.  It is exceptional in raising and supporting and helping all students to achieve their potential.”  June 2010.  However, with all members of the Wordsley community working together, we can improve even further.

I believe that the best way to predict the future is to invent it.  I invite you and your child to be part of our on-going and future successes.

"The last ten years as Headteacher have been an absolute delight.  G.C.S.E. examination results have more than doubled and Ofsted judged us to be a “good school” with many outstanding features.

Our reputation has reached new heights locally and nationally.  We were oversubscribed yet again for September 2011 and we have gained national recognition for our success in developing a vibrant achievement culture.

Pupils, parents and staff have a real and shared commitment to maximising the potential of all.
