Sports      

Key Stage 3 - Making use of our excellent facilities, (including our own pool), we cover a wide range of activities including: Netball, Football, Gymnastics, Basketball, Hockey, Tennis, Swimming and Life-Saving.

Pupils will cover 15 activities per year during three 50 minute lessons per week and are actively involved in their learning through peer, self and teacher assessments to help promote a better understanding of sport. There are also focus weeks on individual sports and skills, plus a cycle proficiency scheme.


Key Stage 4 - During Years 10 & 11, pupils take more responsibility for choosing their  curriculum, selecting from short courses including: Weight Training, Swimming, Trampolining, Table Tennis, as well as the more traditional sports studied at Key Stage 3. PE is allocated two 50 minute sessions per week during the senior years.

They are also offered the opportunity to learn Mixed Martial Arts, experience Dance from professional instructors and gain qualifications including the Football Associations Junior Football Leaders Award, Junior Sports Leaders Award and Young Leaders Award from Sport Leaders UK.
